I’ve started work on a VERY limited basis (have the BEST flexible schedule doing some pretty amazing stuff!) and Desta was getting ancy staying at home. We reached a wonderful compromise and found Chapel Hills School, a little preschool Tobin attended when he was D’s age.
Desta’s first day was Monday. She loved it! She especially loved picking out her lunchbox and backpack, wearing jeans to school and having a whole lot of crafts to gift when upon pick up.
Desta is our social butterfly and thrives any place there are kids and activities. Our local YMCA has THE BEST childcare and Desta loves going to see her teachers every day. BUT 2 hours is not enough time to fill her big, beautiful bank called “Extrovert.” We added gymnastics and dance and while it is so fun to click and clack and tumble for an hour, again, not enough activity for this chicka!
I’m excited to see what this year at school does for our little D and she is super excited to be heading back on Friday to play dollies with all her friends!
*Despite all the car pooling we do for the various sports our kids are in, Desta ends up in the car A LOT with me. Her recent companions are Moose, Girl and Boy. Please note how safe they are buckled in. There was no WAY they could travel sans seat belts.
