Welcome Home Desta Grace…

We got the call at 6:30am. The judge approved our case on the last day of court. Thank you God, and welcome home Desta…

Praise God this morning. Thank you God for hearing our prayers.

We got the early morning phone call from the agency to tell us that our case passed court. This means we have been granted parental rights in Ethiopia. Now we will travel to Ethiopia to bring Desta home, probably around September 11-18.

We are so thankful to God as we have seen miracles in the last 48 hours of “labor.”

Last night, our family prayed for Desta, and we specifically prayed from the Scripture that we posted yesterday about Samuel and the Ebenezer stone.

“For the rest of her life, may God’s hand be against her enemies.”

Thank you for your prayers and your words of encouragement to our family. We have kept everything you’ve writen here on Facebook as part of that Ebenezer stone. One day we will show Desta all of the people who were praying to bring her home. Thanks for being part of that story.

Praise God this morning for His goodness and faithfulness!

P.S. Here is today’s song…Ascend to Heaven, by Fike & Dana from Vanguard Church. An amazing song filled with truth of God’s character and promises:

“ASCEND TO HEAVEN” – Lyrics
Written by: Richie Fike
© 2009 Brave World Publishing (BMI)

I want to climb
To the peak of the mountain
The feet of the Father
And see with my eyes

I want to rise
From the death of this valley
From the pain that surrounds me
And stay here a while

You are glorious and victorious
And You’ve welcomed us into Your arms

Heaven and Earth will behold
The Lamb of God whom, foretold,
Was sent to save young and old
Jesus Christ!

The angels sing of your fame!
Your people worship amazed!
Salvation comes in the name
Jesus Christ!

I want to bow
With my heart ever-beating
At the sight that I’m seeing
My Savior alive

So right here and now
With this breath that I’m breathing
All praises exceeding
To Jesus Christ

Ascend to Heaven, my soul!
Breathe in the love of the Lord!
Let go of all of the shame
And the fear of this world!

Make known the glory of God!
Behold Him seated above!
And in the light of His face
Begin to worship!
