So this whole ethnic haircare thing…well, I have failed miserably.
I realized that I’ve used too much conditioner. Hence a mess of conditioner goo build up on my sweet little one year old’s scalp.
And I pulled too tight when putting in pony tails. Hence hair loss around her forehead.
SO…She’s going to an expert. Yep, my sweet one year old is going to get her hair done the right way. Little baby cornrows all over her sweet head.
And this mommy? Well, I’m going to be thankful for the haircare reprieve I will get for a month.
So check in next Saturday. I’ll post a picture of the after. Currently the before is shocking and cannot be photographed. Really folks, I”m needing some serious help when it comes my sweet baby girl’s curls!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
I can relate to this! I STILL haven’t figured it all out!
I can’t wait to see it! You will have to tell me who you use. I will need that help very soon!!

After much effort in doing dreadlocks, with sticky locking gel from Jamaica, in my boys’ hair the last two weeks (they don’t want me to shave it) they jumped into freezing Lake Michigan the other day, got their hair completely wet and poof, every dreadlock disappeared — can I just say that I was SO not happy! Good luck with the hair thing — it baffles me too and I only have boys!
don’t be so hard on yourself. seriously. i can’t wait to see pictures!!!!
ummmmm please tell me where you are taking her – because I am about to lose my mind over here.We had to cut the little one’s hair because she can’t stand anyone touching it and the 7 year old – OY what a struggle.
