It’s happening…

a normal routine that is…

FINALLY!

The cool fall air is starting to blow in.  Jeans and sweaters are coming out (well, at night at least).  The fall running race season is in full swing and I have officially embraced being at home.

With all things that grow, pain is usually accompanied with it.  I remember my older sister, Shelly, who grew 6 inches her 6th grade year.  She had the worst leg pains.  Growing up is hard.

It’s been an adjustment moving back to Colorado.  I didn’t count on the grieving I’d have to do once I got here.  Grieving for the life I had.  It’s all changed.  Our home, our kid’s schools, church….we are 2 years and a whole bunch of experiences older.  We’ve learned a lot about ourselves these past two years…the good, the bad, the ugly.

Today I did my first spin class in two years.  After finally catching my brief in minute 55 of the 60 minute class, I had this thought, “I’m joyful.”  I am so happy for a husband who works so hard so I can be home.  I LOVE being at home with Desta. She and I? We have finally found a routine that is working for this season.  Seasons come and go, so I’m not too stuck on how well this is working.

I love making big dinners again for my family.  All those Pinterest pins I’ve done over the past two years, well, I’m finally getting around to doing them.  Contentment is hard to come by.  Each day has it’s own worries and troubles.  Today, I am content.
