So, once again, District 20 decided to NOT have school. We’ve had countless delayed starts due to cold weather (yes, we do live in Colorado0–heard somewhere that the District superintendent is from TX–so it figures that we would have delayed starts on 30 degree days!), teacher workdays, training days, so on.
I was not going to let this day off ruin my day. So off we went, Caroline and her school friend, Nina, and Tobin– off to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We arrived at 9 am and walked and saw so many animals. It was a great morning and so much fun.
We ended up sprinting through Chick fil a for lunch after Tobin began to complain of a stomach ache. Uh oh We didn’t want to end the great morning mopping up throw up.
We made it home and all is well. These kind of days are rewarding. I have given myself a pat on the back for “good mommy” award! smile
