You know, the book of Isaiah is perfect for helping parents out on the adoption journey. Just a few weeks ago, I was telling Jason how much God has spoken to me through the book of Isaiah. Maybe I just hadn't paid much attention before but I never really felt drawn to that specific book of the Bible but it seems like I'm reading from it all the time now. God always knows where to direct us in His Word! Your time to travel is almost here - praise God! Your journey to Africa will be so unlike any of ours as you are traveling back to a homeland - how amazing that you will have a special bond with Desta in that you have your own memories of the beautiful continent to share with her one day. I will continue to pray for you as you prepare for all that awaits you half-way across the world! What an amazing painting – and Desta’s beauty was truly captured!
