Ah, little boys

001I used to think it would be fun to have twin boys, or boys a few years apart in age.  I thought, “How fun for Tobin to be able to play, wrestle and enjoy that!”

I think yesterday changed my mind.  Tobin has a precious friend. “A” is sweet, polite and definitely, ALL BOY!

In the course of a 5 hour play date, I managed to accomplish the following things:

- Turn off the outside hose after realizing 3 hours into the play date, it had been left on

-  Collect ALL my Tupperware from outside.  Yep, EVERY SINGLE PIECE had been used for an Ewok camp

- Sweep and mop the floor 4 times. Twice due to spilled milk, twice due to the “fun” of peeing in their pants, just to see!

- Clean the carpet in the basement due to an untimely meeting between above mentioned chocolate milk and Star Wars action figures

- Wash the guest bathroom in the basement. There is no need for further description on this one.  Let’s just said, the ENTIRE bathroom was scrubbed, ceiling to floor.

- Notice about a 1/2 ton of rocks lying all over the grass outside.  Asking the boys to pick up all the rocks.  Asking the boys to not throw the rocks against the glass windows of the house while picking them up.

- Collapsing in a chair at the end of the day with a really strong martini

Here are my little Storm Troopers, hard at work “warring” from one end of the house to another.

*I think I’ll take the screams of little girls, far less exhausting!

You just described most of my days with two boys. They even have those same Clone Trooper outfits!

Ah, I can totally relate. it sounds like my house except we play with super heros. My mop gets a work out and I get nothing done most days.

This post totally cracked me up! Boys are so different than girls! I can already see that with Eli and Baylee. Eli is so vocal and seems to be so outgoing. He is very happy and babbles and yells a lot to tell the world! Last year in my class, I had 18 boys and 9 girls. Wow! Wonderful class, but lots of energy!
