Ahhh….Time away really does wonders!

Matt and I returned from our week long trip to NC late Saturday night. We had a wonderful week of hiking, sightseeing, being with good friends and having some amazing meals!

Time away is always good. Too bad I didn’t consult my day planner prior to the trip. I have missed one field trip (and I was the driver…yikes!) to the fire station, one meeting with a potential nutritionist, and was hit full force that I have two birthday parties in about a week’s time to plan.

So, I’m going back to my happy place (peace, peace, peace) and enjoying the photos of some amazing sights in NC. Aside from one really RED minivan (the car rental lady wasn’t into negotiating another vehicle, despite my pleads that this is one trip WITHOUT my kids and therefore, don’t NEED the van) and some COLD weather (oh well, had to go shopping!), I could see myself living in NC. Granted I like our mountains and trails just a bit more!

Here are some pictures of our day at the Biltmore, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway and staying at the Grove Park Inn.
