Another update

I just got an update from our agency in Ethiopia.  Desta is sick AGAIN!  She is vomiting and has diarrhea.  Getting this update was really hard for me this morning.  I had been anticipating a fun update, things like “Yay, she’s gained weight, she’s doing great, she’s lifting her head!”  Instead I hear that she is sick. 

I’m here and she’s there and she’s sick. 

I have been like a frantic person getting ready for this trip.  I see lists in my head and all the things I’m missing.  I’m afraid that in my busyness, I’ve forgotten to take time to be still. 

I am taking time now to be still.  I am praying that our little girl gets better soon. I’m praying the medicine works quickly and she will not be sick.  This is so hard!
