This past week has been busy getting ready for our week away. My parents were able to come for the week to watch the kids while Matt and I take some time to celebrate a bit early our 10th anniversary.
So, I’ve been busy cleaning, cooking, making lists, writing directions and packing. It doesn’t help that upon our return, both of our children have their birthday parties! (I wonder if our adopted baby will be born in October as well…wouldn’t that be a bit crazy?)
This blog will be a bit silent for the next week. Maybe I’ll get inspired during a long hike to blog but otherwise, I’ll see you all in a week!

I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia. This blog began as a way to chronicle the journey to getting our third daughter through adoption. I have found that since I began writing, this blog has become a place for community, support and a safe place to share about my LIFE.
Hope you have a great time! 10 years — way to go!!
