What a busy weekend! Halloween was fun. Pictures to come. Another birthday to celebrate. I’m tired.
I am looking forward to some kind of routine (which is a very dangerous wish to have with the holidays approaching). Desta is all out of sorts again. Teething maybe? All I know is that waking up several times at night to feed an infant is doing Matt and I both in!
But I have a question after all that complaining. I have a friend who is writing a children’s book on adoption. Desta is our only adopted child and right now her vocabulary consists of lots of grunting and the latest and greatest, the “D” sound. BUT that doesn’t help me for this book.
I’d love to hear your thoughts of what you would like to see in a book for children about adoption. Maybe your kids have a thought or two? If you comment, I’ll put them together in a post and put it up early next week. I’d love your input to pass to Melissa!
Thanks! And since Matt and I were actually able to go out and celebrate my birthday last night, I thought I’d post a picture of the two of us taken by photographer Caroline. She got a digital camera for her birthday and has been experimenting every since.
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
You look beautiful! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Happy Birthday! You look gorgeous!!
Happy Birthday! I’m right behind you :0
I love the idea of a book on adoption. I had a hard time explaining it to Maddie.
