So that Sound of Music song keeps ringing through my head. I’m to do my first summit training run tomorrow. Yep, that means driving to the top of Pk es Peak and then running at 14,000+ feet for a few hours. Yikes, what have I done?
Again, I’m getting another really good lesson in life about perseverance. I found it incredibly easy to push the submit button, pay my $80 fee and get on the list for the run. The reality of actually RUNNING that race hit home around 9:30 this morning when I was out running hills. Seriously, am I nuts?
So, I’ll keep you posted…this is becoming a running blog instead of an adoption blog. I really do need to continue to figure out how I can tie it all together huh?
Oh yeah, thought I’d include a picture of the actual mountain I’m running. Again…call me nuts!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Looks awesome, I’m envious! Best of luck.
