Improvement in some areas and not in others. She still has a fever of 102 (got up to over 103 late last night) and she’s not eating regularly. When she does eat, she still vomits.
On the plus side, she’s started sleeping again and doesn’t seem as bothered with the itchiness of the sores.
We’ve been told by the doctors that her fever needs to come down and she needs to eat without vomiting in order for us to take her home. These would be our two requests for the day.
Thankfully Desta’s insurance card came in the mail yesterday. A small but important step.
Please pray for Desta to get back to health quickly so we can bring her home this weekend.
Also, please pray for Nile Cornett. Nile is a 3-month-old who came home in our travel group with his parents Tracy and Clay. He’s also in the hospital in Nashville. This morning they need to put him under general anesthesia in order to take some fluid samples from his lungs. His pneumonia. Nile’s also improving, but still needs prayers for recovery and healing.
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Continueing to pray!
