Do you ever need something a little trivial in your life?

I do. All the latest news on the adoption front has been weighing on my heart. This is a busy time of year for everyone. I am compounding that busyness by deciding to take a nine day trip to see my best friend (love you Liz!) and sister ( and her sweet brand new baby–can’t wait to hold that little gift!) in Boston and DC respectively. And I’m taking that trip the last week of school for my kids.

In between making lists for my awesome husband who will not only be single dad but also hairstylist/personal dresser for one seven year old’s dance recital, shop clerk for our big garage sale and personal chauffeur for all our kid’s activities, I’ve been training for the Steamboat marathon which occurs less than a week after I get back!

So, I’ve allowed myself to get sucked into the show, One Tree Hill. I watch it faithfully every week and every week say, “Why am I watching this crazy show?” I am actually on pins and needles to see if Payton survives childbirth. Ah, the trivial is sometimes good. Sometimes.
