We returned from our vacation in Florida Wednesday. That afternoon we got our letter! So, off to Denver we headed EARLY Thursday morning to get our final (hopefully?) fingerprints done.
We’ve been waiting for this final step for months (three to be exact). We hope to get our immigration visa back in the mail in the next 6-12 weeks. Then, the dossier is complete and can be sent off to Ethiopia where we get on the waiting list.
It’s exciting to see the final “step” done before we wait for our referral. This whole experience has been one of patience and prayer. I am very happy to wait now. Not in a rush for anything to happen…just want to see that piece of paper in the mail and get on that list!
PS. Hindsight 50/50, we would have done our first police background check fingerprints immediately following sending in our application…instead we waited to hear from our agencies and it added about 4 weeks to the whole process.
