I have read about this book on several blogs.
I got a copy a few days ago and started reading it last night.
I finished the book last night.
In a nutshell, it’s the story of Josh and Amy Bottomly and their journey to Africa to adopt their son, Silas. That’s a very poor nutshell.
I felt the writing was very real, raw in some parts and intimate. Amy and Josh’s writing play very well off of each other. I learned history of Ethiopia, I experienced a meeting of a birth mother in a foreign country (oh my, the tears during that chapter!) and I learned a bit more about what it’s like to experience infertility.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It has made me stop and think today on many issues. Get your copy here.
Thank you Josh and Amy, for sharing your story. May you be blessed!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Thanks Melodie!
You are sweet… we appreciate the blog post and we are glad you enjoyed it!!
