Matt and I snuck away last night, with Mimi watching the kids. Love hot*ire dot com. We got a great hotel for $38. I know, awesome!
This morning we wanted to try a new place for breakfast before heading back home to the troops. So…the Blackberry came through again and we found Sunflower. A great little deli/sandwich shop in the day and wine/appetizer place by night and gluten-free. I got a great little gluten-free pastry crumb cake and chicken sandwich. Yummy! While I still like my home cooking better (just a bit biased), it was fun to go somewhere for a treat and actually not walk away with a stomach ache. Matt got their gluten rich peanut butter cinnamon roll that looked and smelled amazing.
Check it out. Just for fun. I love supporting our local economy!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
