We leave in just about an hour for the airport and the long journey home. We leave Addis at 7:30pm on Friday and get into Denver at 10:30pm on Saturday night. With the time change, I think it’s close to a 36-hour trip.
Desta’s been doing very well the last few days. Unfortunately her antibiotic needs refrigeration…so we’ll see how that goes over the next 2 days.
Overall, this has been a great trip. We bought a ton of coffee today for about $6/pound. We personally are bringing back 11 pounds of coffee just for our personal use.
For those of you following the technology/Internet component of our trip, this has been the most difficult day to connect. We did have Internet and Gmail, but no WordPress until right now.
Enjoy the last photos below. There’s us with the coffee, Desta sleeping, and Matt doing what he does to make the Internet work over here.
Thanks for all your prayers. We’re almost home. Please pray for a smooth flight for Desta. She may have a double ear infection, which is no fun while flying.

I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Safe travels! We’ll be praying for little ears, restful hours, and a safe sail through customs! With all that coffee they might think you’re up to something! lol
Blessings and Godspeed,

What an amazing journey you have had and quite a testimony of faith! Praying for a safe flight home! I wish I could be at the airport to welcome you home and join in the celebration but know that I am so happy for you and am rejoicing with you in TN!
Safe travels!
