the size of my feet. That is, running shoes that fit my feet and don’t cause injury to the rest of my body.
Yep, I will admit it here. I am a size 11! Yes, that is an actual 11. I almost didn’t buy the shoes because they really do look like boats. If I’d just stuck with my Adidas supernova cushion shoes, I’d still be at a 10 1/2. But in this economy, we are all tightening the belt. My new New Balance shoes are gulp, $50 cheaper than the Adidas and with the need to purchase a new running shoe every 3 months, I’m eating humble pie on this one. (In my defense, I am a 9 1/2 when it comes to regular shoes!)
To top it all off, they are black and orange. So, I am officially a duck when I run.
On another note…it’s been 4 months of waiting for this little girl since the dossier arrived in Addis. About 6 months to 20 years to go right? smile
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
i’m not too familiar with international adoption processes. but have you been on a waiting list for 4 months already? and so what does that mean for when you actually “get” the child? just curious. oh, by the way, i’m a size 11 too.
glad I have another member in the shoe club!
It took us 13 months to get our dossier together (home study, documents, etc) and sent to Ethiopia. We have been told that it will take between 7 to 9 months to get a referral. Once that comes, it’s any time from 2 to 5 months to actually get our child…so I was being a bit more sarcastic than I should have been but it does feel like 20 years!
oh i’m sure it feels like 20 years! it only took me 9 months for the entire process, start till when we got our son, and it felt like 20 years. no wonder everyone is keeping a blog!
