In this waiting game (or race or whatever you want to liken waiting to get a photo of your child that someone has picked for you…still so weird to me!), it really is the simple things that make me smile.
Today I got signed on to the best yahoo group–all AWAA families waiting for their children. There is something so wonderful about sharing the dossier being sent, the I171 form received, the referral given when you know a bit more about these people’s lives.
I feel so blessed and privileged to be in this circle of friends. Rewind 12 years ago, I would never have thought I’d be in this place at this time.
Last night at church we were reminded to look at the answers to prayer instead of the problems. I’m trying that today. And the AWAA yahoo group is one of those answers to prayers.
So thanks AWAA yahoo group. I’m so happy to be part of this journey with you all!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
So glad to have another family in the circle of friends!!! Also, love having another blog to follow!! hehe! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
Blessings,
Mel
