I woke up this morning. As I do each morning, I took the dog out, made the coffee and then headed upstairs to get dressed for work. I turned on my music and this song, Endless Hallelujah, was playing.
It’s very easy for me to get caught in the details of life and forget there is a bigger world out there, something I’m working towards. I took a moment and listened.
“No more tears or broken dreams, forgotten is the minor key, everything as it was meant to be.”
I long for that world of “meant to be”. When I look around, it seems that people are living in a sleep-like state, not happy, not sad, just existing. That was not was “meant to be.”
Today I am reminding myself of choosing to hope for what was “meant to be” and living in the present to see some of that now.
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia. This blog began as a way to chronicle the journey to getting our third daughter through adoption. I have found that since I began writing, this blog has become a place for community, support and a safe place to share about my LIFE.
