I have been tagged by Lori to write 5 things I am thankful for and then to tag 5 more people, so….
1. I am thankful for my husband, Matthew. When we met freshmen year at Wheaton College, I thought he’d be a friend. Little did I know how he was the perfect partner for me. He is such a hard worker, he is committed to our family, our children and our marriage.
2. I am thankful to be a mommy. I yearned for children and was devastated when we lost our first to a miscarriage. I have found this journey of motherhood rewarding beyond measure, hard beyond belief and ultimately found what I was created to be.
3. I am thankful for a body that is healthy, that can move and run. Daily I thank God that he as allowed me this body that can move and breath.
4. I am thankful for hot coffee, the establishment called Starbucks, parent’s night out at the gym, sushi, and good food. (Okay, so that was more than one!)
5. I am thankful that God has led us on this journey of adoption. Matthew and I have discovered so many things about ourselves already in this process. It’s been filled with huge prayers to pray, emotions to sift through, joys to rejoice in and ultimately, I know, a child ordained for us since the beginning of time!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I tag J-Momma, cathy, candy, brittlee, and Kristin
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
What a beautiful list! Health, health, health. Thanks for tagging me… I’ll get working on it.
oh, you’re lucky you get to visit Disney so often. it’s funny cause while we were planning a vacation to do with our best friends, we decided on Disney not because of my son, but because no one else had been there. my husband and friends wanted to go so bad even though my son wouldn’t remember it. i’ve been twice and it’s just as fun for adults as for kids. we can’t wait!
and i’ll have to check out that blog you suggested. thanks.
