I love Paul Harvey. I was sad the day he died. I fondly remember my Dad’s mother as a woman who always listened to “the rest of the story…”
Well, we have the rest of the story in regards to Desta and that one signature we needed. Remember August 20 when we found out that we were lacking one signature from a director in meetings, 7 hours from Addis Ababa in order to pass court. So many of you gathered together with us in prayer, asking God for a miracle.
While in Ethiopia, I asked Robel, an AWAA staff member, how we got that signature. His first response after I told him about the prayer we raised up was, “Well, there’s your answer. It was God.” Pressing him further, I found out this.
One of AWAA’s staff members went to the director’s home that day, the 20th. He petitioned the guards to talk to the director. And he got the signature from the Director while at his home. Liken that ask to going to one of our US Senator’s home on a Thursday night to sign a paper. Not very likely.
I know God used all our prayers to soften this official’s heart to sing that paper. We are so thankful that God allowed us signature in order to bring our little girl home and get her on the road to a healthy weight and body.
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
All I can say is WOW
