We are enjoying a week long vacation to Durango, CO. Prior to coming here, we knew very little about this side of the state. After trekking to Four Corners, Mesa National Park, Oray, Silverton (the town was closed…yes, the entire street–which is the town–was closed), and many trips to Durango, we feel much more enlightened about West Colorado.
Caroline has learned to ski blue runs on the mountain, Tobin has met many playmates at the local recreational center, Matt and I have discovered another amazing restaurant (Cypress Cafe) and we have LOVED having Mimi here for all our adventures.
I thought I’d include the view from our condo. We are right on the ski hill and enjoy hearing the skiers go by outside our back porch. It’s been fun, relaxing and such a needed rest!
We are looking forward to seeing if we have a third little baby with us for our next family vacation. I can’t wait to bring our baby girl with us for some Monberg Spring Break fun!
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
