We got the call at 6:30am. The judge approved our case on the last day of court. Thank you God, and welcome home Desta…
Praise God this morning. Thank you God for hearing our prayers.
We got the early morning phone call from the agency to tell us that our case passed court. This means we have been granted parental rights in Ethiopia. Now we will travel to Ethiopia to bring Desta home, probably around September 11-18.
We are so thankful to God as we have seen miracles in the last 48 hours of “labor.”
Last night, our family prayed for Desta, and we specifically prayed from the Scripture that we posted yesterday about Samuel and the Ebenezer stone.
“For the rest of her life, may God’s hand be against her enemies.”
Thank you for your prayers and your words of encouragement to our family. We have kept everything you’ve writen here on Facebook as part of that Ebenezer stone. One day we will show Desta all of the people who were praying to bring her home. Thanks for being part of that story.
Praise God this morning for His goodness and faithfulness!

AAAHHHHH!!! I am so incredibly happy for you! Yesterday I was so bummed for you, knowing very well how impossible the whole situation looked, but yet remembering how with both of our kids, there were times when we waited…and waited, and then times when God did incredible miracles! Just amazing proof that these children join our families in HIS perfect timing, exactly the way that He wants it to happen! I asked God for a miracle for Desta the same way He did at certain points for both Grace and Josiah… and so incredibly thrilled for you that He did! Love the pictures…can’t wait to see more of her in your arms! I pray you enjoy your “Full Circle” trip back to Africa as well!
