I had to get up and leave for a few minutes to pull myself together--I felt so miserably helpless. :-( Someday, in God's time, I hope to adopt. In the meantime, I struggle with all the pain in the world. WHY is it so hard for people like us, who have so many resources at our disposal, to feel like we can make a significant difference in the world? And why don't we take every opportunity to do so? It's so, so hard...
