Biggest loser movitation

I’ve been sucked back into the Biggest Loser world thanks to Hulu Plus.

There is not much more motivating than watching people who’ve let themselves go, gain new skills and lose weight.

In fact, on our very cold Saturday, I was “busy” watching the show on the couch.  After one episode I had to get up and go run…there is something incredibly motivating about seeing people work towards dramatic goals.

Watching the show has made me think through what I might want to challenge myself with.  I’m still mulling it over.  Running is and always will be a pivotal part of my life BUT I’m exploring new hobby ideas to add to my running.

My baby steps yesterday involved doing my tempo run workout completely mixed up.  I’m sure the people on the machines at the Y looking out the window at the track were wondering what this crazy woman was doing BUT it was fun to jump tires, walk lunges across the field and do burpees between sprints.

Keep posted.  I just might be in for something extra special!

There is a boot camp class that works out in the field next to our house. She sets up courses like that with cones and hula hoops (instead of tires).
