I’m heading to the gym in a few minutes (yep, got to sleep in today. Ha!) for a full fitness evaluation. I joined a gym in a hospital. Really, seriously.
I park in the front of the hospital and march on in through the main doors. Of all the gyms I looked at here, this one caught my eye. VERY CLEAN (that wonderful hospital antiseptic smell but clean), LOTS of free equipment all the time, GREAT workers, and a SLEW of wonderful retirees working out alongside me.
As part of my membership, I get a full fitness analysis. They offered to do it in the afternoon but since I cannot partake of caffeine prior to the test, I quickly declined and asked for the first spot. 7 am it is.
I’m excited. It’s always fun to see how hard work has paid off. I’m hoping it’s paid off. We’ll see in about two hours.
I was born in Jos, Nigeria many years ago. I spent the next nineteen years living in Liberia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
